Carnival
Every year the gentlemen have to take care of their ties at the Old Women Fast Night in front of the town hall and in the old town. At the street carnival on Königsallee , Düsseldorfers celebrate the happy time with children and cones. On Carnival Monday from 12.30 p.m. the big carnival parade takes place, which takes about 5 hours from the Oberkasseler Bridge through the city center.

Museum Night

Rhine marathon
The starting signal for the Düsseldorf METRO Group Marathon on the Joseph-Beuys-Ufer sounds once a year. The route runs along the Rhine promenade and through the magnificent old town. Runners, skaters, hand bikers and unicyclists are invited.

Japan Day with Japan Fireworks
The Japan Day with Japan fireworks takes place every year on the Rhine promenade. Düsseldorf, where around 7000 Japanese live, is the largest Japanese community in Germany and the third largest in Europe after London and Paris. The big fireworks that are lit in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel around 11 p.m. are the highlight of the day with their geometric shapes and colorful effects.

Jazz rally
With its international jazz rally, Düsseldorf attracts music fans of the styles soul, funk, blues and jazz from all over the world. This musical event is known and valued for its qualitative selection of musicians. Alltours cinema
At the Alltours cinema, a selection of the best films will be presented in the open air cinema on Düsseldorf’s beautiful Rheinterrasse. After the previous sponsor had resigned, the former commercial real cinema has now been given a new name with a new sponsor: Alltours-Kino. However, the visitor can look forward to the usual quality: cinema enjoyment in the open air in (almost) any weather.

St. Martin’s Festival

Christmas Market
The scent of cinnamon, burnt treats, mulled wine and the more than 200 illuminated and decorated huts on the Düsseldorf Christmas market put a smile on every visitor’s face. Boot – Messe Düsseldorf
The international exhibition on water sports and boats of all sizes is presented annually in 17 halls on the exhibition grounds.
